Picture this...
After a long day, you sit down for dinner. Not alone, but with other young people you’ve truly gotten to know by now. You can be yourself. You talk, laugh, and sometimes doubt things together. You’re here because you want to make a difference, but also because you want to enjoy everything this adventure has to offer.

Welcome to Tanzania!

You don’t just live here, you live together.

In our volunteer house, you live with other volunteers your age.
You eat together. You laugh together. You wonder together if you’re really going to get up early for that safari tomorrow. There’s always someone to talk to, and that makes everything just that little bit better.

And the volunteer work?

Yes, that’s a big part of it too, and it’s anything but boring. You can work with children, support education projects, help out in healthcare initiatives, coach sports activities, do hands-on work, or get involved in childcare and teenage mothers’ projects. Not sure yet what suits you best? No worries. We’ll figure that out together. You can also combine different projects.

What does a typical week look like?

During the week, you work on your project.
In the evenings, you eat together, relax, or end up talking with other travellers for hours. On weekends, you head out to explore. Safari. Nature. Culture. Experiences you’ll probably talk about for the rest of your life!

But is it safe?

Yes. You’ll be picked up from the airport, there is always a local contact person available, and you’ll stay in a house with Western facilities. This is a very comfortable and safe place, especially if this is your first time travelling abroad on your own.

Who else will be there?

Our volunteers are usually between 17 and 25 years old.
Some are on a gap year, others have just finished school, or are simply ready for something different.

Never travel alone (if you don’t want to)

Feeling unsure about flying alone? No problem at all.
We always check whether we can match you with other young people travelling to Tanzania around the same time, so you can depart and arrive together.

Want even more certainty? You can also choose a youth group trip: the same volunteer work, but with fixed arrival and departure dates and a group of young people travelling together.

Everything is optional. We’ll discuss what suits you best during the call.
So… what are you waiting for? Schedule it now!
